PRAYER: The Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Declaration, to modify and to give a clarity to the provision contemplated under Section 14 (1)(b) and 14(2)(b) of the Tamil Nadu Buildings (Lease & Rent Control) Act, 1960, as it is hit by Article 14 of the Constitution of India as it causes injustice to the petitioners who are the tenants under the third respondent occupying a shop portion at Door No.49, Arcot Road, Kodambakkam, Chennai - 600 024.
