The petitioner made representation seeking seven marks towards teaching experience. He is qualified and applied to the post of Lecturer as notified by the respondent to fill up 1195 vacancies for the post of Lecturers, out of which 36 vacancies were in the subject of Geography. The petitioner was called for certificate verification. However, the respondent failed to give any weightage marks for the teaching experience.
4.
On perusal of the counter filed by the respondent, for awarding weightage marks for teaching experience, the services rendered in Universities / Government Aided Colleges / Self financing Colleges 2/4
including Medical / Engineering and Law Colleges alone will be considered as per Government Orders in force. In fact, it was also specifically mentioned in the prospectus for the information of the candidate. The services rendered in Colleges of Education could not be considered for awarding marks for teaching experience. There was no provision in the rules to award weightage marks for the teaching experience rendered in Colleges of Education. That apart, now the entire recruitment process has been changed and the petitioner has to necessarily pass the National Eligibility Test or State Level Eligibility Test. As such, the prayer sought for in this writ petition cannot be considered.
