The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to drop the acquisition proceedings in respect of lands in survey Nos.203/2 & 204/2, Manjakuppam Village, Cuddalore Taluk and District, pursuant to the proceedings dated 19.07.1996 in Ref.No.L1/42666/90 of the 5th respondent to the 1st respondent. 2.Mr.A.S.Palanisamy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner sought permission of this Court to withdraw this writ petition. The said submission is recorded.

3.Mr.M.Elumalai, learned Government Advocate and Mr.A.Antony Arockiaraja, learned Standing Counsel, also reported no objection.

4.In view of the above, this Writ Petition is dismissed as withdrawn. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
