Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of certiorari calling for the records in the proceedings culminated in the impugned letters No. Assistant Executive Engineer (Operation and Maintenance)/ Mamallapuram Division/Electricity Connection A No. 188 / 2022 dated 03.01.2022 and Electricity Connection A No. 200/ 2022 dated 19.01.2022 on the file of the 2nd respondent and quash the same.

Ms.Keerthana Shenoi, learned counsel for Mr.L.Jai Venkatesh, Standing Counsel accepts notice for the respondents and is armed with instructions to enable a final disposal of the matter even at the stage of admission.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has forwarded an e-mail to the Registry seeking leave to withdraw the Writ Petition and rightly so. This Writ Petition is thus dismissed as withdrawn permitting the petitioner to approach the Consumer Grievance Redressal Cell in terms of Regulation 18 of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Supply Code, 2004 as the challenge to the impugned orders involve determination of various factual issues that would not be appropriate in this Writ Petition.
3. Such liberty, if exercised by the petitioner and representation filed within a period of two weeks from today, will be disposed by the Grievance Cell after hearing the petitioner within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of the requisitions.
4. The service connections shall not be disturbed for a period of six (6) weeks from today or till the date of disposal of the requisitions to be filed, whichever is earlier. It is made clear that if requisitions are not filed in time in terms of Regulation 18 of the Electricity Supply Code, 2004, the respondents are at liberty to proceed in line with the impugned orders dated 03.01.2022 and 19.01.2022. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
