[Respondent 5 to 7 are substitutes as LRs in the place of deceased 4th respondent as per order dated 29.10.2013 in W.M.P.No.242 of 2013 in W.P.No.38621 of 2003] Prayer:Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records of the first respondent herein in Na.Ka.No.112825/G6/2003 dated 19.12.2003 and quash the same and direct the 2nd respondent herein to approve the appointment of N.Chellakannu as Headmaster of the petitioner school pursuant to the resolution of the School Committee dated 04.03.2000 and grant all benefits and emoluments pursuant thereto attached to the post of Headmaster.

O R D E R
The issue involved in this writ petition pertains to the challenge made to the order passed by the 1st respondent and for a consequential direction to approve the appointment of a candidate who was selected by the petitioner's School as the Headmaster of the School.
2.It is seen from records that the 4th respondent expired during the pendency of this writ petition and the person who was promoted to the post of Headmaster has also retired. Hence, it will be more an academic exercise to get into the issues involved in this writ petition, since nothing survives in this writ petition.
3.Even though, the learned counsel for the 4th respondent wanted this Court to make observations on certain points raised by him, this Court does not want to waste words in an order which will not serve any purpose.
4.In view of the above, this writ petition is closed. No Costs.
