This petition has been filed to call for the records pertaining to M.C.No.10 of 2014 pending on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court, Kangeyam and quash the same.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned counsel for the respondent.

3. The first petitioner got married to the respondent on 13.02.2013 and their marriage ran into rough weather and they got estranged. The respondent has initiated M.C.No.10/2014 under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 against the petitioners herein, challenging which this petition has been filed for quashing the proceedings.

4. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned counsel on either side submitted that the parties have arrived at a compromise before the Family Court, Erode, pursuant to which even divorce has been granted by the Court.

5. In view of the above, Mr.S.Suresh, learned counsel for https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the respondent submitted that he has no objection for the petition being allowed and the proceedings being quashed. Accepting his submission, the proceedings in M.C.No.10/2014 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Kangeyam is hereby quashed.

In the result, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed. Connected M.P. is closed.
