There was no representation for the Petitioner at the last hearing on 24.02.2021, and it was recorded that the Petitioner had either not appeared or had taken several adjournments previously. Consequently, the matter is listed today under the caption ''for dismissal''. The Petitioner is not represented at today's hearing also. Learned counsel for

the 4th Respondent reiterates that the writ petition is not maintainable in view of the alternative remedy under Section 153 of the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Act,1983.

2. In view of the failure of the Petitioner to prosecute the writ petition, W.P.No.15353 of 2009 is dismissed for default without going into the merits thereof. Consequently, WMP.No.20512 of 2017 is closed. No costs.
