Respondents PRAYER: The Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for records comprised to the proceedings of the 1st respondent dated 20.09.2005 G.O.(D)No.743, Health and Family Welfare dated 20.09.2005 and quash the same; and consequently; issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 3rd

respondent to forward the proposal for starting a Medical Faculty(College) under the ambit of the petitioner University to the 4th respondent with a direction to evaluate and make recommendations by appointing an Inspection Commissioner to verify the correctness of the findings and recommendations of the 1st respondent and also the availability of infrastructural facilities as per M.C.I. Norms and accordingly grant necessary Letter of Intent followed by final permission under Section 10 (A) of the Indian Medical Council Act as amended in 1993 for starting a Medical Faculty (College) with effect from the academic year 2007-2008.

Today when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the prayer sought for in this Writ Petition has become infructuous and hence, the same may be dismissed as infructuous.
