Heard Mr.Srinath Sridevan learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr. Mr.P.T.Ramkumar learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

2. This petition has been filed challenging the circular issued by the 3rd respondent wherein pursuant to the order of the General Manager, Southern Railways, Chennai, direction has been given to the Assistant Commercial Manager, Salt Cotaurs, Chennai, the Secretary, C & F Agents Association and others regarding round the clock working of SO Goodshed work and to inform to the contractors that round the clock working has been introduced in the Salt Cotaurs with effect on 01.07.2008. 3.The circular has been challenged by the petitioner by contending that without proper application of mind and without any basic infrastructure, the new system has been introduced. In the Additional counter filed by the 1st respondent the facilities provided for round the clock working has been stated, which is not disputed by the petitioner. The learned Standing Counsel also submitted that this system was implemented long ago and functioning without any complaints. Therefore, i find no merit in this Writ Petition.

3.In that view, this Writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
