Respondents PRAYER:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India prays to issue a Writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent the Hon'ble CAT Chennai Bench to dispose the OA.No.933/2013 pending on the file of the Hon'ble CAT, Chennai Bench for the past 7 years, within two weeks from the date of order to be issued by this Court. ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by M.SATHYANARAYANAN,J.,] (1)The petitioner is now aged about 66 years and he filed OA.No.933/2013 on the file of the Central Administrative Tribunal, Chennai Bench / 1st respondent Tribunal herein to quash the punishment of compulsory retirement with consequential benefits.

(2)Mr.U.Karunakaran, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the counter affidavits have been filed and written arguments have also been submitted. It is the further submission of the learned counsel that since the Original Application is pending for nearly six years and odd, this Court may issue appropriate direction for expeditious disposal of the said matter.

(3)This Court has considered the arguments advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner and also perused the materials placed before it.

(4)The petitioner is now aged 66 years and challenging the order of compulsory retirement, has filed the Original Application in OA.No.933/2013 and it is pending on the file of the 1st respondent/Tribunal for nearly six years and odd. (5)This Court, taking into consideration, the above facts and circumstances, requests the 1st respondent/Tribunal to accord priority and dispose of OA.No.933/2013 as expeditiously as possible and not later than three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
