Application No.2108 of 2016 in C.S.No.314 of 1930 M.JAICHANDREN,J., This application has been filed by the applicant, seeking a direction to the respondent-Official Trustee of Tamil Nadu to enhance the Ramzan Expenses, from Rs.8,000/-, per annum, [Rupees eight thousand only] to Rs.64,800/-, [Rupees sixty four thousand and eight hundred only] per annum, for performing the rituals, during the month of Ramzan, every year.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the applicant, as well as the Official Trustee.

The learned Official Trustee had submitted in his report that this Court had enhanced the Ramzan expenses, payable to the applicant, to perform the rituals, during the month of Ramzan, earlier, vide order of this Court, in A.No.3139 of 2012, dated 27.07.2012. He had further submitted that the rental and lease income are the only sources of income to the Trust and on consideration of the prevailing market prices of commodities and the funds position of the trust, an enhancement to the tune of Rs.16,000/-, per annum, would be reasonable.

4. This Court has perused the report submitted by the Official Trustee of Tamil Nadu.

5. In view of the report submitted by the Official Trustee of Tamil Nadu and considering the submissions made on either side, this Court is inclined to enhance the Ramzan expenses, payable to the applicant, by the Official Trustee of Tamil Nadu.

6. In the result, it is ordered that the amount payable for the Ramzan expenses, from the year, 2016, be and is hereby enhanced, from Rs.8,000/- to Rs.16,000/-, per annum, from the Trust Estate of Mr.K.Periyathambi Maracayar.
