Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus to forbear the second respondent from in any manner interfering or disturbing with the petitioner's peaceful execution of functions as Overhead Tank Operator in Mayiladi Village, Senganur Panchayat, Nannilam Taluk, Thiruvarur District, in the light of the proceedings of the first respondent dated 12.06.2008.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking to forbear the second respondent / the President, Senganur Panchyat, Thiruvarur District, from in any manner interfering or disturbing with his peaceful execution of functions as Overhead Tank Operator in the second respondent Panchayat.

2. When the matter is taken up, it is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that since the President of the second respondent Panchayat has been changed in view of subsequent election, the petitioner has been allowed to continue in the said post and as such, even now he is working. Therefore, he is not pressing the prayer stated supra.
