PRAYER:

Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Declaration to declare that the cancellation of the second examination (reexamination) conducted by the first respondent for optional subject Public Administration and consequently to declare the revised results on the basis of the First Examination or alternatively in case this Hon'ble Court considers second examination as legal to declare the results based on the number of candidates who took the examination in the first instance.

ORDER

By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner herein is aggrieved against the nonselection in the recruitment process in UPSC in the year 2006. The petitioner is now aged about 47 years. At this point of time, it would not be appropriate to disturb the recruitment process, which took place 14 years back and consider the case of the petitioner. passed in the present petition, in view of the age of the petitioner.

3. Accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed. No costs.
