Application No.2110 of 2016 in C.S.No.204 of 1940 M.JAICHANDREN,J., This application has been filed by the applicant seeking a direction to the respondent-Official Trustee of Tamil Nadu, to enhance the monthly maintenance payable, from Rs.25,000/- [Rupees twenty five thousand only] to Rs.70,000/-, [Rupees seventy thousand only] per month, from the month of April, 2016, in order to meet her monthly maintenance expenses, including the house rent, food, medicine and clothing expenses.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the applicant, as well as the Official Trustee.

The learned Official Trustee had submitted in his report that this Court had enhanced the monthly maintenance, payable to the applicant to Rs.25,000/-, per month, only on 06.06.2014, vide the order passed, in A.No.2818 of 2014, by this Court. He had further submitted that there is no change in circumstances to enhance the monthly maintenance payable to the applicant, within a period of two years, yet a nominal increase may be ordered by the Court.

4. This Court has perused the report submitted by the Official Trustee of Tamil Nadu. This Court, on considering the cost of living, is of the view

vj2 that awarding a monthly maintenance of Rs.30,000/-, would be just and reasonable, though the applicant has not filed any document in support of the claim.

5. Accordingly, monthly maintenance payable to the applicant is enhanced, from Rs.25,000/- to Rs.30,000/-, payable from the month of August, 2016. To that extent, this application stands allowed. 15.07.2016 vj2 Application No.2110 of 2016 in C.S.No.204 of 1940
