This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Karimangalam to expedite the hearing in C.C.No.166 of 2023 and complete the same within a stipulated time.

Heard the submissions of learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that A3 is absconding and a non bailable warrant is pending and therefore, there is no progress in this case. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor further submitted that already steps have been taken by the respondent police to secure A3 by virtue of the non-bailable warrant issued against him and to produce him before the Court. There are totally three accused persons in this case and 10 witnesses are going to be examined on side of the prosecution.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Karimangalam to expedite the hearing in C.C.No.166 of 2023 and complete the same, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
