The petitioner seeks bail in Crime No.20 of 2023, registered by the respondent for the offences under Sections 9 & 11 of Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006 and Sections 5(1), 5(j)(ii) r/w 6(1), 17, 5(a)(iv), 7 and 8 of POCSO Act.

2.The petitioner is working as Special Sub-inspector of Police at Dharmapuri District.

3.The learned Senior Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner at this point stated that he had instructions from the advocate on record to withdraw the application.

4.This Court had called for an explanation about the procedure conducted by the learned Special Judge for Exclusive Trial of Cases under POCSO Act, Dharmapuri, by an order dated 31.01.2024. A report had been received. It would only be appropriate that the learned Special Judge for Exclusive Trial of Cases under POCSO Act, Dharmapuri, exercises caution while issuing notice to the defacto complainant and ensures that the identity of the defacto complainant/victim child is not revealed in any manner whatsoever. 5.In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and the endorsement made, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed as withdrawn.
