PRAYER : Writ Petition filed Under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to register the document of the petitioner in Sale Deed document dated 19.11.2018 on the file of the respondent relating to the petitioner's property situated at Chennai District, Kanchipuram District, Sholinganallur Taluk, Palavakkam Village, comprised in Survey Nos.136, 136/1 bearing plot No.122, measuring an extent of 2294 sq.ft based on the circular issued by the Inspector General of Registration in Na.Ka.No.39708/C1/2018 dated 04.12.2018, within a period. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2.

The petitioner has come up with this Writ Petition seeking a direction to the respondent to register the Sale Deed dated 19.11.2018 on the file of the respondent relating to his property situated at Kanchipuram District, Sholinganallur Taluk, Palavakkam Village, comprised in Survey Nos.136, 136/1 bearing plot No.122, measuring an extent of 2294 sq.ft based on the circular issued by the Inspector General of Registration in Na.Ka.No.39708/C1/2018 dated 05.10.2018.

According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 01.11.2018 to the respondent to register the Sale Deed dated 19.11.2018 on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the file of the respondent relating to his property situated at Kanchipuram District, Sholinganallur Taluk, Palavakkam Village, comprised in Survey Nos.136, 136/1 bearing plot No.122, measuring to an extent of 2294 sq.ft, based on the circular issued by the Inspector General of Registration in Na.Ka.No.39708/C1/2018 dated 05.10.2018, but, the same is yet to be disposed of by the respondent. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

Heard Mr.T.M.Pappiah, learned Special Government Pleader on behalf of the respondent.

It is stated in the affidavit filed in support of the petition that on the date fixed for registration of the document i.e.19.11.2018, the same was not registered, as the authorities had refused to do so. However, there seems to be no order or check slip issued in this regard.

The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent, on instructions, submitted that the respondent would register the document, after verifying the original title deeds.

Accordingly, the respondent is directed to register the document in terms of the aforesaid circular dated 05.10.2018, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
