Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Declaration declaring the Kattapanchayat held on 02.03.2008 by the respondents 2 to 11 is illegal, void oppose the Islamic personal law and unenforceable in so far as the petitioner is concerned and pass further and consequential order directing the first 1/4

respondent to register a criminal complaint against those responsible for convening such illegal katta panchayat before the competent Magistrate and monitor the same.

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of Writ of Declaration declaring the Kattapanchayat held on 02.03.2008 by the respondents 2 to 11 is illegal, void oppose the Islamic personal law and unenforceable in so far as the petitioner is concerned and to pass further and consequential order directing the first respondent to register a criminal complaint against those responsible for convening such illegal katta panchayat before the competent Magistrate and to monitor the same.

2.The petitioner has filed this writ petition to declare the Kattapanchayat held on 02.03.2008 as illegal, however, after a lapse of 17 years nothing would survive for adjudication in this writ petition. 2/4

If at all the petitioner have any grievance, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the competent law enforcing agency or jurisdictional Tahsildar for ventilating his grievance.

3.This writ petition is disposed of with the above observation. No costs.
