ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by Dr.Anita Sumanth J.) In light of the affidavit dated 01.03.2026, which is extracted below, we accept the unconditional apology put forth by the contemnor. 'AFFIDAVIT OF UNCONDITIONAL APOLOGY ON BEHALF OF THE CONTEMNOR.

1, R. Tamil Selvan, S/o. Ramalingam, aged about 55 years, Aadhar No.6348 3499 6636, Mobile No.9443675373, residing at No.32, Guru Nagar, Senthangudi, Solasakkara Nalur Post, Mayiladuthurai - 609 118, do hereby Solemnly affirm and sincerely state as follows:

1. I am the Respondent / Contemnor in the above mentioned case and I am well acquainted with the facts of the case.

2. That I have received the show cause notice dated 30.01.2026 issued by this Honourable Court regarding proceedings under The Contempt of Court Act, 1971.

3. That at the very outset, I tender my unconditional and unqualified apology to this Honourable Court for the actions / wordings in email grievances dated 11.05.2025, 25.05.2025, 29.05.2025, 01.06.2025 & 26.06.2025, scandalise and tend to lower the authority of the Madras High Court and the Presiding Officer of the District Labour Court, amounting to Criminal Contempt, which I realise have caused distress and disrespect to the dignity of this Honourable Court.

4. That I have the highest regard for the majesty and dignity of this Honourable Court and the process of Law.

5. I deeply regret such wrong wordings used against judges in my email grievances and feel genuine remorse for the conduct. It was never my intention to lower the authority of the Madras High Court and interfere with the administration of justice.

6. I hereby withdraw all such wrong wordings and email grievances unconditionally.

7. That I undertake to never repeat such mistake and wrong wordings in communication in the future and will always uphold the majesty of law.

8. I pray this Honourable Court to accept this affidavit, forgive me for my wrong doing and discharge the Criminal Contempt Proceedings initiated against me.'

2. We, however caution the contemnor to desist from such actions in future and to scrupulously abide by the contents of his affidavit dated 01.03.2026. It is made clear that the slightest deviation from the undertaking given now will be viewed very seriously by this Court.
