ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 3(1), 3(2)(a), 4(1), 5(1)(a) of Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956 in Crime No.10 of 2026, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The allegation against the petitioner is that he joined hands with his husband in pushing victim ladies into prostitution and was also running a brothel house. Hence, the case has been registered.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent person and has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submits that the petitioner is ready to abide by any conditions imposed by this Court. Therefore, he prays for the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that in this case, two victims were rescued, and their statements revealed that the petitioner actively participated in the alleged occurrence and pushed them into prostitution. Hence, she vehemently opposed the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the above allegations and the fact that the investigation is at a preliminary stage, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 27-01-2026 Mpa
