Heard Mr.B.Saravanan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms.P.Veena Suresh, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent and perused the materials available on record. 2.This writ petition has been filed for issuance of writ of certiorari to quash the order of the respondent dated 8.1.2004 in proceedings Letter No.REG./C6/34128/2003. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that during the pendency of the writ petition, the respondent has approved the petitioner's application for regularisation of the building. Hence, the prayer sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous.

4. In the light of the above submission, this Court is of the considered opinion that no further adjudication is required in this writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition stands closed. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
