(a) directing the defendant to pay to the plaintiff the sum of Rs.1,63,13,715/- (Rupees One Crore Sixty Three Lakhs Thirteen Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifteen Only) together with interest on Rs.1,47,75,750/- (Rupees One Crore Forty Seven Lakhs Seventy Five Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Only) at 12% p.a. from the date of plaint till the date of payment and (b) for costs of the suit.

J U D G M E N T

The matter was referred to Mediation and the Mediation Centre has filed a report stating that the suit itself has been settled between the parties. The memo of compromise evidencing such settlement signed by the parties as well as their counsels has been filed into Court.

2. In view of the same, the suit is decreed in terms of the compromise and the memo of compromise shall form part of the decree. Considering the fact that the suit has been settled upon reference to mediation, the entire court fee paid on the plaint is directed to be refunded in terms of the provisions of Section 69(A) of the Tamil Nadu Court Fees and Suits Valuation Act.
