O R D E R
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to direct the XVI Metropolitan Magistrate Court, George Town, Chennai to expedite the trail in D.V.C.No.2 of 2018.
2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the respondent has filed a Domestic Violence Case in D.V.C.No.2 of 2018. The petitioners have also filed a counter affidavit one year back and thereafter, there is no progress in this case. He further submitted that the petitioners 2 & 3 are senior citizens aged about more than 65 years. Therefore, the present petition has been filed.
3. In such circumstances stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner and also considering the fact that not even a single witness was so far examined in D.V.C.No.2 of 2018, this Court, directs the learned XVI Metropolitan Magistrate to dispose the case in D.V.C.No.2 of 2018 as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands 2/4
disposed of.
