Respondents Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Declaration, to declare the Amendment Act 14/1999 made to the Tamilnadu General Sales Tax Act, 1959 taking away the discretionary powers of the Appellate Authority in the second Appeal as ultravires, arbitrary, excessive and violates fundamental right guaranteed under the Constitution of India and is a clear discrimination of Article 14 of the Constitution of India.
