O R D E R

This writ petition is filed for issuance of writ of certiorari to call for the records of the 1st respondent in I.D.No.29 of 1987 and to quash the order dated 31.12.2003.

2. Heard both sides.

3. The Management of United News of India filed this Writ Petition directed against the award dated 13.12.2003 in ID.No.29 of 1997. The matter stood posted for final hearing. At this stage, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner viz., United News of India produced an order passed by NCLT New Delhi Court - II in (IB)-764(ND)2022 dated 19.05.2023 admitting the petitioner company into insolvency and a moratorium under Section 14 of the IBC 2016. Hence the petitioner on its own cannot pursue this writ petition any more. Meanwhile, the learned counsel for the second respondent filed a memo, based on information provided by the petitioner's counsel, stating that the workman (second respondent) is deceased, though his date of death is unknown to them. Therefore they reported no instructions. Incidentally, it was stated that the second

respondent workman is a bachelor.

4. In view of this situation, this writ petition stands dismissed for want of prosecution. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are also closed. No costs.
