O R D E R

This petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent police to give effect to the order passed by the IX Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet in Crl.M.P.No.633 of 2020, dated 23.10.2020.

2.It is brought to the notice of this Court that pursuant to the orders passed by the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, the respondent police have filed an Alteration Report before the concerned Court on 10.11.2020 and have taken up the further investigation in this case.

3.Mr.B.Kumar, learned Senior Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submitted that the respondent police must be directed to complete the further investigation and file a final report within the time stipulated by this Court. 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondent police submitted that the Alteration Report has been filed and further investigation has been taken https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

up in this case and a final report will be filed within the time stipulated by this Court.

5.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the stand taken by the respective parties, there shall be a direction to the respondent police to complete the further investigation and file a final report before the court below, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. It goes without saying that the investigation shall be conducted under the supervision of the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Adyar Range, as directed by the Court below. The Court below had already fixed the time limit for filing the final report and this Court is extending the time limit for a further period of two months. It is made clear that no further extension of time will be granted by this Court and the respondent police shall complete the further investigation and file the final report before the Court below. 6.This criminal original petition is disposed of with the above direction.
