(Per.J) Department, dated 19.06.1987 passed by the second respondent to regularise the services of the petitioner retrospectively with effect from her original date of appointment i.e., 01.12.83 and according refix her seniority in the post of Junior Assistant, to direct the respondents to grant retrospective promotion to the post of Superintendent of par with her immediate junior with monetary and other attendant benefits.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, due to passage of time, the cause in the writ petition may not survive for consideration and seeks permission of this Court to withdraw this petition and he has also made an endorsement in the petition to that effect. 2.

In view of the submission and endorsement made by the learned counsel for petitioner, living the issue open, this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn. No costs.
