Prayer: Petition filed Under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.03.2018 seeking issuance of patta in the name of the petitioner for the property situated at No.19B, New No.29A, No.14, Akbarabad 2nd street, Kodambakkam, Chenni-600 024, measuring an extent of 3008.4 sq.fts. comprising in old bymash no.967 to 972 in T.S No.16/1, part of block no.38, Corporation no.113, in Puliyur village, Egmore Taluk, Chennai District. ORDER

When the counsel for the petitioners did not appear on 04.03.2021, this Court directed the Registry to post the matter on 08.03.2021 under the caption "for dismissal". However, when the matter was taken up for hearing on 08.03.2021, there was no representation for the petitioners. Hence the matter was directed to be adjourned by a week under the same caption "for dismissal". Today also, there is no representation for the petitioners. Since the petitioners or their counsel is not interested in pursuing the matter, this Court is of the view that the petition deserves to be dismissed for non prosecution.
