O R D E R

It is represented that cancellation order has been passed by the respondent vide letter No.T.R.7/2636/2016 dated 03.02.2017 and a supporting counter affidavit of the respondent dated 13.11.2017 has

also been filed before this Court.

Mr.V.Elangovan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that admittedly the said order has been pasted on the premises of the petitioner and therefore, he may be granted liberty to file an appeal before the Government and prays for condonation of delay in filing the said appeal.

This Court heard the submissions of Mr.V.Anandhamurthy, learned counsel appearing for the respondent / contemnor.

4. In the light of the said development, the contempt petition is closed. If the petitioner is so aggrieved and if it is open to him under law, he is always at liberty to file an appeal within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order to the Secretary to Government, Government of Tamil Nadu, Housing and Urban Land Development Department, Secretariat, Chennai - 600 009, by enclosing necessary documents. The said official, upon receipt of the same, without putting the issue of limitation, shall entertain the appeal, if the papers are otherwise in order and thereafter, dispose of the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks thereafter and communicate the

decision taken to the petitioner.

5. The contempt petition is closed with the above observation.

6. The Registry is directed to mark a copy of this order to the Secretary to Government, Government of Tamil Nadu, Housing and Urban Land Development, Secretariat, Chennai - 600 009.
