(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences under Sections 4(1)aaa, 4(1-A) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937 r/w 6 & 11 of Rectified Spirit Rules 2000 in Crime No.214 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of illicit arrack. Hence, the complaint. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Therefore, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that there are seven previous cases pending against the petitioner. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and also the antecedents of the petitioner are reported to be bad, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
