O R D E R

This writ petition was filed filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the respondents from obstructing the supply of water from bore well and the open well of the petitioner for domestic and drinking purposes.

2.When the matter was taken up for hearing on 13.06.2022, this Court directed the learned Government Advocate to take

instructions from the respondents and inform about the present status.

3.When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate produced the written instructions received from the Tahsildar, Tiruppur South along with the undertaking given by the petitioner.

4.It is seen from this document that the petitioner has given an undertaking to use the water only for agricultural purposes and not for any other purposes. In the written instructions, the Tahsildar has informed that from the year 2010 onwards, the water is used only for agricultural purposes till date.

5.In view of the above and the undertaking given by the petitioner, the petitioner shall be permitted to use the water only for agricultural purposes and no disturbance shall be caused to the petitioner till he abides by his undertaking. 6.This writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
