This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the impugned order of the 2nd respondent and quash the same.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel has produced a letter dated 23.07.2019 withdrawing the Writ Petition as follows :- "With reference to the above, it is informed that the W.P.No.37658 of 2007 filed before the Hon'ble High Court of Madras by the SE/TNEB/Chengalpattu against the order dated 13.11.2006 passed by the Tamil Nadu Electricity Ombudsman No.11 of 2006 regarding the levy https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

of BPSC on Electricity Tax at 18% per annum may be withdrawn, since a similar case was disposed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, order dated 01.03.2016 in Special Leave Petition (Civil) C.C.No.367 of 2014. Hence, it is requested to submit the above facts to the Hon'ble High Court of Madras and prayed for withdrawal"

3. So, in view of the above, the Writ Petition stands dismissed as withdrawn. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
