This writ petition has been filed for direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to desist from resorting to direct recruitment to the post of Assistant Director of Co-op Audit pursuant to notification No.3 of 2012 dated 02.04.2012 of the third respondent but to consider the claims of eligible co-op Audit Officers in the Feeder Category for promotion to the said post and if sufficient number of eligible candidates are not available, resort to direct recruitment.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the prayer sought for in this petition has become infructuous. 3.

In view of the submission of the learned counsel for the 2/4

petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
