The writ petitions in WP.Nos.960 & 961 of 2010 have been filed for direction to the respondent to publish the result of the petitioner for the TNPSC Combined Subordinate Services Examination-I, 2007 held at Gudalur 3/6

Centre on 17.11.2007 and to direct the respondent to call the petitioners for interview based on the marks secured by the petitioner and appoint them to any one of the post. The writ petitions in WP.Nos.435 & 436 of 2010 have been filed for direction to the respondent to publish the result of the petitioner for the TNPSC Group-II examination held on 17.11.2007 and to direct the respondent to call the petitioners for interview based on the marks secured by the petitioners and appoint them to any one of the post. The writ petition in WP.No.562 of 2008 has been filed for direction to the respondents to conduct fresh or re-examination for the Combined Subordinate Services Examination-I (TNPSC GroupII) which was originally held on 17.11.2007 in Tamilnadu. 2.

Heard, the learned counsel appearing on either side. 3.

The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioners in WP.Nos.37785 of 2007 & 562 of 2008 did not involve in malpractices and result was already published and the prayer sought for in those writ petitions has become infructuous. She 4/6

further submitted that the petitioners in WP.Nos.435, 436, 960 & 961 of 2010 involved in malpractices and their results are withheld as they are facing trial. As such, the prayer sought for in these writ petitions cannot be considered.

Accordingly, the writ petitions in WP.Nos.37785 of 2007 and 562 of 2008 are dismissed as infructuous and the writ petitions in WP.Nos.435, 436, 960 & 961 of 2010 are dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
