.. Respondents Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for a Writ of Habeas Corpus directing the respondents to produce the son of the petitioner, viz., Siva, aged about 24 years, before this Court and set him at liberty.

O R D E R
(Order of the Court was made by M.JAICHANDREN,J) The petitioner is the father of Siva, aged about 24 years. The said Siva (hereinafter referred to as the "detenu") was found missing from 15.07.2015 onwards. In this regard, the petitioner had lodged a complaint to the 3rd respondent police, in connection with which, a case in Crime No.442 of 2015, for ''Man Missing'', has been registered by the 3rd respondent police. However, no steps have been taken by the 3rd respondent to trace the detenu. Hence, the petitioner has https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
preferred this Habeas Corpus Petition praying that this Court may be pleased to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to direct the respondent police to produce the detenu, namely, Siva, aged about 24 years, before this Court and set him at liberty.
2. A Status Report, dated 18.11.2015, had been filed before this Court, describing the steps taken by the 3rd respondent to trace the detenu. In view of the Status Report filed on behalf of the 3rd respondent, we are convinced that sufficient steps have been taken by the 3rd respondent police to trace the detenu.
3. In such circumstances, we find it appropriate to close the Habeas Corpus Petition, as no further orders are necessary. Hence, the Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
However, the 3rd respondent shall continue the investigation and trace the missing detenu and shall take necessary steps, in accordance with law.
