O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] The present habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking to secure the petitioner's wife Mrs.Senthamarai, aged about 60 years and produce her before this Court and pass an order to set her at liberty.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that his wife Senthamarai, aged about 60 years, who was suffering from mental illness, went missing from 27.02.2020 and that the police have not taken sufficient steps to secure her.

3. Today Mr.E.Ravisankar, Sub-Inspector of Police is present before this Court.

4. On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint given by the petitioner, the case in Abiramapuram Police Station in Crime No.190 of 2020 for 'woman missing' has been registered on 28.02.2020 and enquiry is in progress regarding the same.

5. Recording the same, the Court directs the Assistant Commissioner, Kotturpuram to monitor the investigation in Abiramapuram Police Station Crime No.190 of 2020 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when the detenue is secured, she may be produced before the XXIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, under intimation to the petitioner.

With the above direction, this habeas corpus petition is closed.
