ORDER

[Order of the court was made by R.MAHADEVAN, J.] Seeking a direction to the respondent to consider the representation dated 24.05.2023 followed by a reminder dated 03.11.2023 for the grant of recognition to the petitioner Association viz., Law Association, Ambattur (Regn.No.69/2023), the present writ petition came to be filed. 2.

It is the case of the petitioner that the Advocates practising in the Combined Courts at Ambattur, formed an association viz. Law Association, Ambattur and registered the same as Registration No.69/2023 under the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1975. After the inauguration of the Sub Court, the number of advocates practising in the courts at Ambattur, has increased. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 24.05.2023 before the respondent for the grant of recognition under Section 13 of the Tamil Nadu Advocates Welfare Funds Act, 1987, so as to avail all the benefits and welfare measures to its 2/4

members. Following the same, a reminder was also sent to the respondent. However, nothing progressed. Finding no other option, the petitioner is before this court with the present writ petition. 3.

Heard both sides and perused the documents enclosed in the typed set of papers.

Considering the limited relief sought herein, this court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representations dated 24.05.2023 and 03.11.2023, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
