ORDER
The prayer sought for in this writ petition is for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to announce results for the Village Administrative Officer Exam for Serial No.2 as per advertisement No.248, on 21.07.2010 and exams held on 20.02.2011 for 1077 backlog reserve vacancies for S.C. and S.T. 2.The petitioner seems to have attended the competitive examination towards selection and appointment to the post of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
V.A.O. pursuant to the Advertisement No.248 dated 21.07.2010 issued by the respondent Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission. After having participated in the selection process, he was waiting to get the results of which, however, result of the petitioner was not declared and therefore, seeking a mandamus to declare the result and selecting and appointing to the post of V.A.O., the petitioner filed the present writ petition with the aforesaid prayer.
3.Today when the case is taken up for hearing, Mrs.K.Bhuvaneswari, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent, on instruction, would submit that subsequently the result was declared and the petitioner was selected and appointed as V.A.O. and therefore, the prayer sought for in this writ petition is virtually become infructuous, she submitted.
4.The said position is not controverted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.
5.In that view of the matter, since the prayer sought for by the petitioner having been accomplished, no further orders is required to be passed in this writ petition and by recording the aforesaid development, this Writ Petition is dismissed as become infructuous. No costs.
