O R D E R

K.K.SASIDHARAN,J.

The petitioner submitted an application before the second respondent to issue Community Certificate to her children. The application was submitted way back on 8 December 2015. It is the grievance of the petitioner that follow up action was not taken by the second respondent. The petitioner is therefore before this Court.

2. We have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.

3. The documents available on record indicates that the petitioner submitted the application before the District Collector, Chennai to issue a Community Certificate to her children. We are informed that the competent authority to issue Community Certificate is the Revenue Divisional Officer.

4. We direct the District Collector to forward the application dated 8 December 2015 submitted by the petitioner to the jurisdictional Revenue Divisional Officer.

5. The jurisdictional Revenue Divisional Officer is directed to consider and dispose of the application dated 8 December 2015 submitted by the petitioner for Community Certificate on merits and as per law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
