J U D G M E N T
(Judgment of the Court was delivered by S.Vimala, J.,) When the case was called on 19.07.2017 and on 23.01.2018, the respondent / writ petitioner called absent and there is no representation on behalf of her. Hence, the case was directed to be listed on 02.04.2018.
2. Even today, when the case is called, the respondent / writ petitioner is absent and there is no representation on behalf of her.

3. The writ petition has been filed originally by the petitioner for the issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner for appointment to the post of Assistant professor (Tamil), by permitting her to attend the interview to be held from 03.02.2011 to 05.02.2011.
4. The learned Single Judge, by the order, dated 25.02.2011, allowed the writ petition and the respondent was directed to permit the petitioner to attend the interview for selection and appointment to the post of Assistant Professor (Tamil) and the learned Judge also directed the respondent to complete the exercise within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of that order. Challenging the same, the respondent in the writ petition has filed this Writ Appeal.
5. Now, it is represented by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the appellant herein that the post of Assistant Professor, (to which the respondent herein has applied for), has already been filled up by the appellant and therefore, nothing survives for adjudication, in this case.
6. Recording the said submission of the learned Special Government Pleader, this writ appeal is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, the connected MP is closed.
