ORDER
(DELIVERED BY P.N.PRAKASH, J.) This petition has been filed by the petitioner, the sister of the detenu, D.Manivanna Pandian, for a direction on the first respondent to produce the detenu before this Court and set him at liberty.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Addl. Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent.
3. It is brought to the notice of this Court by the learned Addl. Public Prosecutor that the detenu, D.Manivanna Pandian, s/o Dhanasekaran, aged about 54 years, is an alcoholic addict https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
and is under treatment in Pioneer Rehabilitation Centre, Chennai, since 24.9.2015 at the behest of his wife. A certificate from the authorised signatory of the Rehabilitation Centre is also produced before this Court evidencing the above submission. In view of the above, it cannot be termed that the detenu is in illegal detention.
