Pleader For 4th Respondent in both W.Ps. : No appearance COMMON ORDER Petitioners have come up with the present Writ Petitions seeking a writ of declaration that the action of the 1st and 2nd Respondents herein in appointing the 4th Respondent in both Writ Petitions, as Cook in the Noon Meal Scheme at Karikampet Panchayat Union School as illegal, arbitrary and contrary to law, and consequently direct the Respondents 1 and 2 to appoint them as 'Cook' in the Noon Meal Scheme at Karikampet Panchayat Union.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the 1st Respondent submitted that, Applications of the Petitioners herein to the post of 'Noon Meal Cook' were duly processed and appropriate candidates were selected and appointed in the Respondent-School. He pointed out that, as regards the challenge made by the Petitioner in W.P.No.21104 of 2008, one Kalaiselvi was appointed as Cook at Karikampet Panchayat Union School and not one Navaneetham, arrayed as 4th Respondent in the said Writ Petition.

Learned counsel for the Petitioners, on instructions, submitted that, as 12 years have gone by from the date of filing of the said Writ Petitions, no further adjudication is required and that, the Writ Petitions may be closed.

Recording the submissions of the learned counsel for the Petitioners and taking note of the submissions of the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the 1st Respondent, these Writ Petitions are closed.
