Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the Central Bureau of Investigation (Central Bureau of Investigation), the third respondent herein to take over the investigation in respect of the cases known as SAF Games case in DAVC Crime No.8/AC/96 HQ, Granite case in CB CID HQ Crime No.3/97 and the London Hotel case in C.C.No.2/2001 to

be directly monitored by the High Court under the powers Judicial Superintendence vested in the High Court.

2. Even today, none appears for the petitioner. Heard Mr.V.Chandrasekaran, learned Senior Panel Counsel for the first respondent, Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader for the second respondent and Mr.R.Muniyapparaj, learned Additional

Public Prosecutor, assisted by Mr.Sylvester John, learned counsel for the third respondent.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that in Crime No.3/97, final report was filed on 24.05.2004 and the said case was closed under the orders of the Sessions Court on 26.05.2004. C.C.No.2/2001 was withdrawn and the same was confirmed by the Karnataka High Court.

4. It appears that the fourth respondent is also no more and the petitioner is also no more. Nothing would survive in the present writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of.
