.. Respondents H.C.P. has been filed for a writ of Habeas Corpus directing the respondents to produce the petitioner's husband N.Ramalingam, aged 58 years, son of Nagarasu before this Court and set him at liberty.

O R D E R

This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to produce N.Ramalingam, aged about 58 years, the husband of the petitioner, before this Court, and to set him at liberty.

It has been stated that the husband of the petitioner has been missing, from 07.10.2014. He has been working as an Office Assistant, in M.R.K. Co-operative Sugar Mill, at Sethiathope. The petitioner had lodged a complaint before the 2nd respondent, on 24.10.2014. Since no action has been taken by the respondent police, the petitioner is before this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, has submitted that, based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the 2nd respondent has registered a F.I.R., in Cr.No.279 of 2014, for ''Man Missing'' and the investigation is in progress.

In such circumstances, we do not find any reason to grant the direction to produce the detenu, N.Ramalingam, before this Court and to set him at liberty, as there is no illegal custody, as alleged by the petitioner. Hence, the Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed.
