PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorari, calling for the records on the file of the 3rd respondent in Notice No.SE/CEDC/N/CBE/AO/R/4/SC 153/2004 dated Nil demanding additional Current Consumption Deposit from the petitioner and quash the same.

O R D E R

The order issued by the 3rd respondent demanding additional Current Consumption Deposit from the petitioner is sought to be quashed in the present writ petition.

2. The learned standing counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent Electricity Board made a submission that Additional Current Consumption Deposit is demanded every year based on the consumption of electricity by the consumers. The writ petition was filed during the year 2004 and every year, Additional Current Consumption Deposits are demanded as per the usage made by the consumers.

3. This being the factum of the case, now after a lapse of about 14 years, the grounds raised in the present writ petition deserves no further adjudication. If at all any grievances exists for the writ petitioner, it is left open to the petitioner to adjudicate the same in the manner known to law.

4. With this observation, the writ petition stands closed. No costs.
