ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to absorb / regularize the services of the petitioners in the District Rural Development Department with effect from 15.06.2009.

2. Mr.V.Ajayakumar, the learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners were appointed on 15.06.2009 as Gram Rozgar Sevak in the Block Development Office at Ariyankuppam and Villianur under the National Rural Development Guarantee Act; from then

onwards, the petitioners have been working without any break till date; hence the petitioners are entitled to get absorbed or regularized in regular establishment on District Rural Development Department. The learned counsel for the petitioner further submitted that the similarly placed persons have been regularized in the year 2006 and they were brought under the District Rural Development Department of Puducherry; hence similar benefit can be extended to the petitioners as well; the representation given by the petitioners is pending with the respondents so far without any consideration.

3. Since the Government was benevolent in regularizing the services of similarly placed persons and passed appropriate orders, I feel the respondents shall consider the petitioners also for regularizing their services.

4. The petitioners shall submit a fresh representation to the respondents within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the respondents shall consider the same and pass

appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of representation from the petitioner.
