No.226 of 1999 passed by the first respondent, quash the same and consequently direct the second respondent to promote Thiru K.Ponnusamy as Junior Assistant from the date on which his juniors in the post of Office Assistant were promoted as Junior Assistants, with all arrears and consequential benefits, Award costs. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the writ petitioner-Union made a submission that the concerned workman retired from service on 31.07.2015 on attaining the age of superannuation. vanished. Thus, no further adjudication needs to be entertained in respect of the grounds raised in the present writ petition.
