The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent police not to harass him and his family members without any specific complaints.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. In my considered opinion, no blanket direction as prayed for by the petitioner could be given. However, if the presence of the petitioner is required by the respondent police, the respondent shall issue summons to the petitioner and on receipt of the same, the petitioner shall appear before the respondent police and co-operate with the enquiry to be conducted by the respondent police. At the same time, the petitioner shall not be harassed under the guise of investigation.

With the above observation, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
