This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the First Information Report in Crime No.1112 of 2024 dated 31.10.2024, pending on the file of the first respondent Police. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the first respondent Police submitted that the investigation in this case has been completed and the final report has also been filed through e-filing in LTN20230000540C202500085, before the learned X Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, on 16.05.2025.

Party-in-Person (Advocate) would submit that the final report has not been taken on file yet.

In view of the above, a direction is issued to the X Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, to take on file the final report in Crime No.1112 of 2024, on the file of the 1st respondent/ The Inspector of Police, P2 Otteri Police Station, Otteri, within one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is also granted liberty to challenge the 2/4
final report, if so advised.
5. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the aforesaid direction.
