The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw this petition and he has also made the following endorsement to that effect.

"I may be permitted to withdraw the bail petition since SC/ST act altered on 27.01.2024."

2. In view of the above submission and also the endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as withdrawn.

However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh petition, since the provisions under SC/ST (POA) Act, is altered.
